On 28 November 2025, our Managing Director Sebastian Engelskirchen was in Berlin to discuss key issues for the future with Stefan Schmidt, MP, Alliance 90/The Greens, and Dr. C, MP, SPD — both representing the Regensburg constituency. The meeting was organised by the Federal Association for Hot-dip Galvanizing and accompanied by Gökdeniz Demir and Executive Director Tobias Schäfer.
The central topics were the financing of social security systems and corporate responsibility in the current political environment. Sebastian Engelskirchen commented: "As a company, we bear a responsibility towards our employees and we will honour it. At the same time, we have serious concerns about the coalition's pension proposals and fear that the financing of the social security system could spiral out of control. Ultimately, it is the employees and industrial SMEs in Germany who will bear the cost."
We hope our appeal was heard in Berlin and look forward to a timely agreement that reduces the financial burden on SMEs and the hot-dip galvanizing industry.
